Drainboards and Trivets

Drainboards and trivets are functional features that can be added to concrete countertops. Drainboards are designed to accommodate fruits or vegetables, or other items. They allow for water to run off the countertop directly into the sink. Trivets are designed to be a place to set hot pots and pans without damaging the counter.

  • Drainboards can simply be slats that were cast into the counter, or they can have stainless steel rods included. The countertop can also be designed to accommodate a drain board made from a different material. Molds are available from a variety of manufacturers for making drainboards.
